Cufflinks Description
Aymara Rectangle Tree Branch Butterfly Cufflinks are made from real Rothschildia Hesperus butterfly wings, which are then enameled over, and set in rectangular Peruvian Sterling Silver. Each butterfly cufflink is one of a brand and will support the maintenance and growth of the Rothschildia Hesperus species through your purchase. These butterflies are recognized by their saucer-sized wings, wide vertical bands of vibrant blue and deep black on their uppersides, and their olive-brown undersides. Morpho Rehenthor butterflies are found throughout the neotropical region, including Peru, and have a noticeable slow flight pattern, almost bouncy, which results in bright blue flashes of alternating colors. The development of their conflicting wing colors and individual zig zag flight patterns, confound their bird predators. These delightful creatures spend their quiet mornings patrolling streams for possible mates imbibe dissolved minerals from damp sand, and dappling in the sunlight of their forest habitats. They spend their afternoons sitting motionless on forest greenery, tucked away in the darkness of the forest.
