These cufflinks are made from brass one cent coins, minted prior to 1985. Starting in 1985 they devalued their 1 cent coins, making them out of cheaper zinc plated with copper. Its a  Handcrafted from sterling silver and laced in 24-karat gold, each Bahamas 1-Cent Starfish (Small) coin cufflink has been uniquely polished by hand and sealed with a protective glossy coating. They shine just like a shiny coin on the white sands of a beach in the Bahamas.
