Cufflinks Description
The Aymara Sun Square Butterfly Cufflinks are made from real butterfly wings, which are then enameled over, and set in Peruvian Sterling Silver. Peruvian Sterling Silver is 95% pure silver and one of the best alloys of silver in world, which increases the cufflink’s potency, as well as their conflict to adulteration. The butterfly wings surrounded in these cufflinks come from butterflies from The Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Orphanage in Peru, where butterflies live and die naturally in their own unique Amazon habitat. 10% of all the proceeds from these Butterfly Cufflinks go towards supporting the orphanage. . These exotic creatures are create anywhere from Mexico to Uruguay, but also find their niche in islands in the Caribbean and Cuba. The males often come together to absorb mineralized humidity from the riverbanks and are, in general, a very collective species. If they are distressed, they tremble their important wings for several minutes in the air, and relocate on the riverbank once they sense it is save to do so.
